We have stuff coming up from our drains – what is the cause?
Water and other debris are coming up from our drains into our showers and sinks – what is causing this? Who do I call?

Back up indicates a blockage in the line, call a plumber if city sewage, call a sump truck if septic system, good luck, or if you or a neighbor have a roto rutor, or hand snake try to unplug yourself and save the money.

If you are on a septic tank, it could be that it is full and needs pumped. If on sewer, your pipes could be blocked. Call a plumber and be sure to wear rubber gloves when cleaning up any messes. You are handling raw sewage.

Either way your line has a blockage. If your drain also accepts any greases or soap you eventually get a buildup. Most newer homes have a cleanout evrey few feet in the drain line to accept a flexible rod or sewer snake. If a good friend has one ask him or her to help you out otherwise u have to get a plummer which could cost you.
Or if like the water is affected? See, the maintenence guys at our apartment are just really slow, so they haven’t gotten around to coming to fix it yet, and we’ve tried to fix it ourself, it just hasnt’ worked out so well. Both the bathtub and the sink drains have been clogged for about
The sink drains very slowly. The toilet does not want to flush the water down and the most worrisome thing is when you do flush, the toilet water is coming up through the drain in the tub!
I had new sinks and drains installed as well as a new bathtub drain, but the vessels do not fully drain. There is always a little pool of water left that covers the metal ring around the drain. Were the drains installed properly?
My Toilet keeps on getting cloged up.. I have to plunger it at least 4 times a day. What can I do? Should I call a plumber or should I call my landlord to fix this or is there a way to fix it myself? It doesn’t overflow but it is backed up and after
Several times a day we hear what sounds like a bullhorn coming from our plumbing. Has anyone heard of this? We were told that it was air in the line and not to worry, but it is quite loud and not going away.
Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
